Western® snowplows feature a baked-on powder finish that resists corrosion and rust.
For nearly a half century WESTERN® snowplows have blazed a trail through the worst conditions winter has to offer. Over these years, as times and trucks have changed, we've developed a whole "family" of WESTERN plows. No matter what size truck you own, we've custom designed vehicle mountings and blade attaching components that assure the right connecting link between your truck and our blade. Today, municipalities, contract plowers and four-wheel drive owners know they can depend on their WESTERN plow to deliver reliable performance job after job, year after year.

PRO-GUARD FINISH
All WESTERN snowplows feature a baked-on powder finish that's far superior to paint. In
this powder coating process the blade is pre-heated then sprayed with a dry powder. Post heating cures the powder to produce a tough, glossy finish. In addition, you'll find that snow rolls easily along the slick surface of WESTERN blades
coated with the PRO-GUARD finish.
ROLL-ACTION BLADE
The exclusive Roll-Action blade is designed to roll snow ahead and to the side instead of
just pushing a static load. This action gives your vehicle a power reserve as it moves snow with ease. You move more snow faster using less power, saving fuel and reducing wear and tear on both truck and plow.
UNIMOUNT® SYSTEM
The patented UniMount System allows for quick, one-piece removal of the snowplow
whenever your truck is not being used for plowing. The result is improved vehicle appearance and less permanent weight on the front end all year long. Once the stand is in position, four pins and two electrical plugs are
all that's needed to attach or remove most of the plow. There is no more disconnectng/connectng
THE POWER BEHIND THE PLOW
The heart of any snowplow is its hydraulic system. A reliable
power source consists of the right match of motor, valves and cylinders. Designed specifically for snowplow application, the Solenoid Isarmatic® Mark IIIa is well known for its
dependable performance. Every unit is 100% tested before it leaves the factory. It's equipped with a 4 1/2" motor and 1 1/2" lift cylinder. Trouble free, electric solenoid valves provide positive response and
instant blade movement to reduce plowing time. And, the system uses standard automatic transmission fluid -- no special oil is required.
The new FloStat Hydraulic System, used on the MVP®
multi-position V-plow, is a state of the art power source designed specifically for this application. On the MVP plows it allows you to hydraulically lock both blade wings to act as one which saves you time on the job.
IN-CAB CONTROLS
The Solenoid Control is compact and ready for installation
virtually anywhere in the cab. An on/off switch with red indicator light helps prevent accidental blade lowering. A handy plug-in connector allows easy removal of the control when the plow is not in use. The hand-held CABCOMMAND control
puts the operation of all blade functions right in the palm of your hand
. It's standard on the MVP® snowplow and available as an option
on all other plows. CABCOMMAND features include a 5' coil cord for total mobility inside the cab, automatic float in the down position and the ability to stop the blade at any position
during the lower function. A convenient mounting clip is provided or simply unplug the control for out of sight storage.
